Just Solids

I was really busy with a couple of projects that I wasn’t able to make a kit for this week. Still I couldn’t let this week go by without a freebie so I’ve uploaded these two paper packs I made a couple of weeks ago today. They’re both solid paper packs with great textures on them, perfect addition to your stash. If you like clean and simple layouts, these will be great for your pages.

The links to download the files can be found here.  As always I appreciate all the comments I receive and if you happen to use these on one of your layouts, I would love to see it.

Have a nice day. Enjoy scrapping!

TADA July Lucky Dip

Is now up at the store. Check it out here.  There’s heaps of new items to be released in a few days so watch out for that too.

What Scrapbooking Item Are You?

You are STICKERS!
You like brightening things up in life and decorating your living space with your own personal style. You are versatile and able to get things done with a stick-to-it attitude. People love your colorful personality and personal flair! You like exploring new things and are willing to try anything once. But Stickers beware - sometimes you like to stick to someone that you like a little too much and take them into your confidence a little too easily. Your personality tends to make you a steadfast friend, but make sure the friends you choose are worth your efforts!

Just A Boy

Here’s the freebie kit for this week. Let me just say that it was a challenge making this one. I don’t use boy kits often so I wasn’t very sure of what elements a boy kit should have. When I’m making a girly kit I know what I want since I think of what I’ll use, now in a boy kit it’s a different story. I’m happy with how it turned out nevertheless. I even made a layout using in here…

Everything is used in this layout is from the kit. The template is by Amy Martin. Click on the kit and you should be able to see the download links. It is in three files (Just A Boy Alpha,Just A Boy Elements and Just A Boy Paper) for the benefit of those with slower internet connection. I hope you find the freebie this week a nice addition to your stash. As always I appreciate receiving comments.

Have fun scrapping! Link me up to your layouts, I wanna see what you come up with.

New Toy

Yup I now have a Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet. Hubby got it for me two weeks ago (bless him, having a husband who is into computer gadgets really have perks) and I’m loving it. He wanted to get the bigger one with more advanced features but I told him this model will do, for now at least. It fits perfectly on my table so it was a good thing that he got the smaller tablet for me. I’m still getting use to it especially using the pen. My friend Kay suggested I use it for doing everything on the computer for a week so that I’ll get comfortable with it. I should really take her advice. Learning how to use this is not as easy as taking a diet pillor any pill for that matter, I have to take it slow. So far so good, I can browse the net using the pen with ease. Now to tackle using it for scrapping is another story.

SSD Saturday

Have you seen the new products released today at Sweet Shoppe Designs? I love Sweet Shoppe Saturdays!

If you are a newsletter subscriber then you must have seen this little ad that says a new designer will debut at the shoppe next week. Can you guess who? Of course I know but Robin will kill me if I tell anyone (lol). Stay tuned next week to find out, she’s great…trust me on this. That’s all for me today, I’m off to checkout computer memory prices online. I think I finally convinced my husband it’s time to get a bigger memory for his computer.

Wheels

I talked to my dad before he left for Denmark last week. He wanted to make sure the car will be properly maintained while he’s gone. He was talking to me about Bullit wheels and having the car washed every couple of days. When he’s not around it’s just my mom, my sister and the helper so he had to us what to do, where to find what and who to call in case they got in any car trouble. I know nothing much about cars myself but at least my husband was able to help a little. It is pretty new so it is running smoothly without any problems at all. I guess my dad was just being cautious since he won’t be around to fix any car problem if it happens. Good thing that hubby knows a good mechanic as well, we told mom to contact him if she needs him. My dad loves this car so a lot of improvements has been made since they first bought it at the dealership. I bet there will be more to come when he comes home which will be ten months from now. Until then we have to make sure that the car stays clean and in tiptop condition.
